Out of Reach

Out of Reach is the second single by Tehran-based bassist and composer Amid Bonakdar, continuing his exploration of the bass as a central narrative voice within contemporary jazz.

Set at a slow tempo and shaped by layered, intricate harmony, the piece places the bass at the core of the musical conversation—moving fluidly between foundation, melody, and texture. Spacious drums performed by Sahand Khaksar create an open rhythmic framework, allowing subtle interaction and dynamic contrast to unfold organically.

Produced and composed by Amid Bonakdar, Out of Reach reflects his ongoing artistic focus on depth, restraint, and dialogue within modern jazz forms. The track was recorded and mixed by Pouya Payvar, capturing a clear and intimate sound palette that emphasizes detail and space.

Out of Reach follows Amid's debut release and his collaboration with guitarist Payam Eslami, further establishing his voice as a bassist, composer, and educator active within Tehran’s contemporary music scene.
