Hamzeh Yeganeh, a Tehran-born pianist, embarked on his musical journey studying classical piano under the guidance of renowned pianists Gagik Babayan and Vahagn Hayrapetian. Influenced by Keith Emerson, he cultivated a passion for jazz and progressive rock. Hamzeh further refined his skills in composition at Tehran Art University, where he also taught piano and composition for three years. His unique compositions intricately weave elements of jazz, rock, and Persian folk music, creating a distinctive and captivating sound. As the founder of Naima Persian Jazz Band, Hamzeh released acclaimed albums such as "Persian Rug (Persian Contemporary Music)" and "Avareh," garnering recognition, including the Best Fusion Album at the Fajr Music Festival for "Kahgel." He is also the driving force behind Damahi, serving as the founder, composer, arranger, pianist, and keyboard player. Damahi skillfully blends Persian music with jazz and fusion, exemplifying Hamzeh's innovative approach to music. Recently, Hamzeh collaborated with the emerging alto singer Majid Salari on the album "The Wanderer," where he showcased his multifaceted musical talents as a composer, arranger, and producer. His latest release, "Hand in Hand," a jazz trio Persian-fusion album, further highlights his ability to merge diverse musical styles seamlessly. Additionally, Hamzeh has released several personal projects, including the albums "Parvaz-e Lahzeha" and "Persian Tunes For Piano," an enchanting collection of traditional Persian melodies arranged for piano. This album invites listeners to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Iran. Hamzeh's contributions to music extend beyond performance and composition. He has produced several piano arrangement books, available for high-quality paper copies for students: "Motion Picture Soundtracks for Piano," "Popular Tunes for Piano," "Persian Tunes for Piano," and "Pink Floyd for Piano."
